That the overall strategic direction for waste management in Hampshire as set out in this report be approved and adopted.

That approval be given to produce a full business case for development of a single Material Recovery Facility (MRF) option including:

·         A proposal for capital funding for land acquisition and full development;

·         A full project appraisal to be considered by the Executive Member for Environment and Transport; and

·         A land acquisition report to be considered by the Executive Member for Policy and Resources.

That approval be given to set up a grant fund of £65,000 to support local enterprise (charitable or otherwise) in establishing initiatives for the reuse of bulky household items.
