Decision:
That a traffic order be implemented under the
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (RTRA), the effects of which will
be will be to:
1. introduce virtual permits for designated permit parking places
in New Forest; and
2. allow checking of a valid permit for a parked vehicle by means
of a handheld device and an electronic database approved by the
Council as an alternative to displaying a valid permit in the
vehicle when parked in a permit parking place.
3. replace the existing charges for permits in New Forest with the
charges set out in the Schedule below.
Schedule
Residents' Permit - £50 per annum.
Visitor’s Permit - 100 visitor permits included free for
residents per annum.
