Decision:
Hampshire County Council is the Commons
Registration Authority for the purpose of exercising functions
under the Commons Act 2006. An application (ref. VG276) has been
made by Petersfield Town Council under Section 15(8) of the Commons
Act 2006 for the voluntary registration of land at Borough Hill,
Petersfield (‘The Land’) as a town or village green.
The Town Council is the freeholder of the land, and the
Registration Authority is therefore required to grant the
application provided other conditions are met. Those conditions
appear to be met in this instance, and so it follows that the
application must be accepted.
