Decisions made

1. That the Director approves this addition to the 2021/22 Capital Programme at a value of £210,000.
2. That the Director approves the details of the mini-roundabout scheme at the junctions of North Lane, North Close and Lower Newport Road, Aldershot as set out in this paper.
3. That the Director gives approval to procure, spend and enter necessary contractual arrangements to implement this scheme, at a total estimated cost of £210,000, to be funded from Developer Contributions.

That a traffic order be implemented under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (RTRA), the effects of which will be to impose a 30mph speed limit and extend the existing 40mph speed limit in specified lengths of Henry
Cort Way as follows:
30mph
Between its junction with Rowner Road and a point approximately 342 metres north-west thereof.
40mph
Between a point 342 metres north-west of its junction with Rowner Road and a point 74 metres south-east of the centreline of its junction with the Tichborne Way bridge at Gosport, an approximate distance of 646 metres.

That a traffic order be implemented under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (RTRA), the effects of which will be to add to the existing turning, and prohibition of entry and pedestrian restrictions at various locations, (as shown coloured on the maps attached to the order) on Henry Cort Way, between its current point of termination 646 metres south-west of its junction with Hutfield Link and its
junction with B3334 Rowner Road.

To consider a report of the Director of Children's Services. The purpose of this report is to inform the Executive Lead Member for Children’s Services on the need to revise and re-determine the pattern of school term and holiday dates for school year 2021/22 and to note the outcomes of the discussion with schools that has followed. The adjustment to the already published 2021-22 School Year and Holidays pattern was necessary to take account of the additional Bank Holiday in June to mark Her Majesty The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. A new pattern of term and holiday dates, with an additional holiday, is proposed.

To consider a report of the Director of Children's Services - Statutory guidance from the Department for Education on post-16 transport to education and training requires local authorities to prepare and publish an annual transport policy statement each year specifying the arrangements for the provision of transport for persons of sixth form age, and 19-24 years olds (referred to as the ‘adult duty’) in education or training.
